Michael C. Crane

Michael is the third of seven children and was raised on a healthy diet of backpacking, sports, dirt bikes, church, water skiing, Louis L'amour westerns, and music.

Michael became fluent in Spanish as he served a mission for the LDS Church in Buenos Aires , Argentina . (Maybe it was eating that Argentine cow's tongue.)

While at Brigham Young University , Michael attended the University's production of The Magic Flute and was smitten to distraction by a beautiful soprano. Fortune smiled, they happened to share a class the next semester, and Michael and Rachel were married eight months later. Michael graduated from BYU with a B.A. in American Studies.

The law school years at Duke were very good to Michael. During that time, Michael and Rachel welcomed their two children, Evelyn (3) and Nathaniel (1), into their family. Michael interned in Washington D.C. for Judge R. R. Rader of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as for the Harris County District Attorney in Houston , TX . He also worked for the Houston firm Winstead, Sechrest & Minnick and excelled in the Army's month-long Leadership Training Course at Ft. Knox , KY.

Michael strives to practice law (and life) by the following:

True freedom is the freedom to become our best selves.
We determine who we are becoming by how we treat others.
True freedom, therefore, is not independence, but inter-dependence.
